Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican American sportscaster. She currently works as an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She started working for ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since the time she turned nine. The ability that allowed her to get her first job as a Univision production assistant in Miami. She was a producer for television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was a Sports Reporter at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an investigative reporter for The Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Also, she was a Spanish reporter for the newscast from 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter on the newscast of 9 p.m. in English and an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. She would also fill in at times as a news and sport anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition she was also the host and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. She was advertised as anchor of the sports segment on Despierta America Deportes' morning show. In addition, she served as anchor of the sports segment in Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents are originally of Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22 on the 22nd of October, 1985, in Mexico City. She is more mature than her younger sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. Within a brief time her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in 2006. Her residence was at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta is a senior in high school and was clear about the career she wanted. So while assessing if Mount Union was right for her, Antonietta visited the school. It was a beautiful campus and provided the education she was looking for. When she completed the requirements for high school, she was accepted into the university to study media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was an affiliate. He encouraged her to have confidence and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her. She, in turn, strived to live up to his expectations and never let him down.
